Buy Danish. But maybe not Nestle.

I feel undecided about this one. It seems that in the usual bizarre rumor mill, a lot of Muslims in the Middle East decided that Nido dried milk and other Nestle products were from Denmark, and should therefore be part of the cartoon boycott. (And yes, a boycott is more appropriate than arson. It’s still stupid. They should have just sent nasty and non-threatening letters to the editor, like civilized people do.)
On the one hand, obviously Nestle should point out that it’s Swiss. OTOH, paying for ads in Arab countries pointing this out seems… a bit like pandering and groveling.

Apparently, we aren’t all Danish or all members of the EU when it makes our bottom line drop.

I find this particularly annoying, since I drink a lot of Nescafe Cafe con Leche, which of course is not only a Nestle product but also uses Nido. Do these companies want to lose my business?
