Your sister reads about the “challenge coins” tradition that lies behind all that military collecting of unit and personal “coins”, and thinks it sounds like an amusing drinking game which explains a lot. She wonders why her brother didn’t talk more about this.
Your mother hears about it and constructs the first five minutes of a searing NCIS episode, complete with tragic death from allergies and impoverishment of the wife and kids back home.
At this time, I would like to reiterate my apology to my little brother for even mentioning this to our mom…. Yes, she worries about us. Even retroactively. (With the holidays and our cousin’s wedding coming up, she worries a lot.)

*grin* Sounds like a woman after my own heart– a Great Worrier, indeed.
