Mike Aquilina notes that there’s going to be a big medieval history, military history conference out in Pennsylvania in October. The nice thing is that it won’t just be papers and Powerpoint — there will be weapons, warhorses, fencing demonstrations, and disgusting forensics discussions of wounds!
And then — there will be a skaldic recitation of a big chunk of “Beowulf”. Beo-wulf.
