I’ve never heard of her till I read your blog, so I dug up a few more facts. She was a daughter of Ignacy Chrzanowski who was a famous figure in Poland:,a historian of literature, a cousin of Polish Nobel laureate Henryk Sienkiewicz. She studied Polish philology at a university, but decided to become a nurse. She was also a poet and published her poems.
