In case you missed it in all the post-election news, Father Andrew Greeley, the priest-sociologist and Catholic novelist, had a bad fall while getting out of a taxi the other day. (The taxi drove off with his jacket still caught in the door, and his head hit the ground hard. The stuff of nightmares!) Anyway, he’s apparently still in critical condition, but still hanging on. (Him and Forry — two tough old birds….)
Please pray for him. You may disagree with his ideas, but on the whole he has tried hard to evangelize for the Church, in every genre he possibly could.
(And if you REALLY disagree with him and hate his books, you HAVE to pray for him! Jesus says!) 🙂

OK, whoever you are, this is getting weird or the spaces getting thin. I just fell into your site, left a comment asking if you are familiar with old fashioned Irish Catholic “stuff” like Fr. Andrew Greeley writes. So I’m paging down and see Fr. has been injured. I’ve read Greeley since 1974, his sociological work on the Catholic church is awesome. His fiction is a guilty pleasure. So now I’ll go find out how he’s doing, on line somewhere. I wonder if I’ll ever find out who Maureen the Celtic writer is?
